Wenbo

Greetings!
As per your suggestion, please find my message as follows for putting on the department website about my study experience and achievements:
• Over the past few years, I have had the privilege of living and working in Nagasaki as a Joint PhD student in Global Health at the Nagasaki University School of Tropical Medicine and Global Health, supervised by Hirotomo Yamanashi sensei from the Department of General Medicine, Nagasaki University Hospital. What an incredible journey it has been! Looking back, I am filled with gratitude for my friends, colleagues, and collaborators at the school and the hospital department, without whom this life-changing and foundational academic journey would not have been possible and such a success. I will cherish it for a lifetime. Partnering with doctors, nurses, faculty, and staff, I was able to conduct my research study on multimorbidity in populations living on the Goto Islands. I took part in fieldwork, and these experiences helped me understand how research is conducted in real communities and healthcare settings. I was utterly impressed by the work delivered by the local healthcare staff, and our colleagues were generous with their time, offering guidance and regular discussions about the direction of my research. I am so grateful for their warmth and kindness. Together with my supervisors and colleagues, we presented our research at several academic conferences in Japan and abroad, published our findings in academic journals, and built global research connections. Most of all, I was able to immerse myself in the beautiful city and culture of Nagasaki and the whole of Japan, connecting with lovely people, enjoying amazing scenery, and eating incredibly delicious food every day. The knowledge and memories I gained here will continue to influence my future research and career, and I look forward to continuing my partnership with everyone here and building on the work we began together.
With thanks,
Wenbo
